Help Us Honour My Dad's Journey

My dad has always been my hero—an adventurous spirit who has filled my life with incredible memories. From hiking, to attending thrilling air shows and soaring through the skies, our bond has always been about exploration and fun. But when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's, our world shifted. The thought of losing those adventures we cherished was heart-breaking.
Then, against all odds, Dad expressed a bold dream: he wanted to trek the Kokoda Trail. At first, I thought, "Is he crazy?" But seeing the determination in his eyes ignited a fire in me. Ian and I knew we had to train hard alongside him. Together, we prepared for this monumental challenge.
In 2024, we completed our first Kokoda trek. It was tough—physically and emotionally. But watching Dad push through his fatigue and manage his symptoms was nothing short of inspiring. He showed us the true meaning of resilience. Every step he took was a reminder that, despite his diagnosis, his spirit was unbreakable.
Dad has always been an incredible role model, and this experience brought us even closer. We’re not stopping here; we’re gearing up to do it all over again. This time, we want to raise awareness and support for Parkinson’s disease.
Please join us in honouring my dad's journey. Your donations to The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson's will help fund research, support services, and initiatives that make a real difference for those living with this condition. Together, we can help others find their strength and continue to pursue their dreams, no matter the challenges they face.
Thank you for your support. Let’s make a difference together!
