Walking 7000 steps each day for 7 days, starting on 4 December. I am 81 and walk with a disability aid.

Take on your own 7 in 7 challenge and help fund vital research, care and support for families affected by motor neurone disease.

Story

My husband Richard died four years ago from MND. He is loved and missed every day, but I am always glad to find new ways of remembering him. So at the age of 81 I have on my arm my first tattoo with Richard’s words as he faced death: ‘Love never dies’. My granddaughter Iris in Australia has the same words on her leg.

I have also been inspired by Kevin Sinfield’s 7-7 challenge in which he runs 7 marathons in 7 days to raise money for MND. I am undertaking a 7-7 walk with my mobility aid of 7000 steps each day for 7 days.

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association. The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. By sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to the MND Association. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure, your details are safe - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Thank you again
