With the help of Just Giving I am raising money for the Eve Appeal supporting the important work that will lead to the early diagnosis of Gynae Cancers and helping people survive these Cancers.

I lost my dear friend and inspiration - Mary - almost a year ago to the day as I write this. An incredible woman who already was dealing with a disability when she got the devastating news of a terminal Cancer diagnosis. She was a fighter, strong and resilient and had spent years putting herself in the best possible physical condition to deal with her existing disability to allow herself to live the best life she could alongside it.

Then along came Cancer and Mary had to regroup and find the strength to fight a battle that she knew she couldn't win. With months of chemo and losing so much time to feeling awful, with her incredible resilience she kicked it into the side lines and got 4 more years of life, that she lived to the fullest. Sharing as much of the good times as possible with her family and friends and creating much cherished memories for us all to enjoy. Even with all she was dealing with, Mary was always focused on the wellbeing of others - a true trooper. We miss you so much Mary.

You are my Hero and when the going gets tough out there on the day I will dig deep and think of the fight you mounted without any choice and get the job done!

Sunday 13th July 2025 - I will be taking part in the Vitoria Gasteiz Ironman - swimming 3.8km, cycling 180km and finishing by running a full Marathon. Please help me raise funds for this worthy cause it will put the wind beneath my wings and push me to the finish line within the cut off time. I must do it for Mary.
