I’m running the Great North Run half marathon in memory of my husband Joe ❤️ who loved running and was cared for at the end of his life by Sue Ryder at home and in Wheatfields hospice. Following Joe’s death, Sue Ryder provided free grief counselling sessions for me which really helped me through an incredibly difficult period.

When I first researched Sue Ryder Great North Run places - the picture that came up was Joe’s Sue Ryder nurse Hannah, so I signed straight up! Finding time to train has been difficult so I haven’t dared share that I’m doing this until now but now I’m committed 😬
