Story
Every mile walked by CEO Mike Burns represents the thousands of journeys Penumbra has supported over 40 years. We’re walking for hope, recovery, and the power of nature on mental health. This journey symbolises the steps people take on their path to recovery - often challenging, but always worth it.
Mike Burns will be walking the full 96-mile West Highland Way from 29 August to 3 September 2025, raising funds and awareness for mental health recovery across Scotland.
“This walk is about more than just miles. This challenge is about walking for hope and recovery - for every person who has found courage to take that first step with us. It’s about honouring the thousands of people we’ve supported, raising awareness of the healing power of nature, and committing to another 40 years of hope and recovery.”
