Story

Support Our Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (NHSCT) as We Fundraise for Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) celebrating Maternal Mental Health Week 2025 by completing Belfast Marathon Relay on Sunday 4th May 2025. We have 3 relay teams entered for the race.

We are a dedicated perinatal mental health team working closely with women and families during the perinatal period. Every day, we witness the strength and resilience of mothers affected by mental health challenges, including postpartum psychosis—a rare but serious mental illness that can occur after childbirth.

Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is a vital charity offering life-saving support, information, and advocacy for women and families navigating this condition. They also fund research and campaign to improve awareness and care.

This cause is close to our hearts, and we want to give back. We're coming together to raise funds and awareness for this incredible charity—and we’d love your support.

Every donation helps APP continue their life-changing work.
Please consider supporting us—whether by donating, sharing our fundraiser, or cheering us on.

Together, we can break the silence, spread hope, and help ensure that no family faces postpartum psychosis alone.

Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP) is a UK charity. We’re here to make sure mums, parents and families are supported through postpartum psychosis – a severe, but treatable, form of mental illness that occurs after having a baby and affects 1400 new mums in the UK each year.

We offer information and peer support, facilitate ground breaking research, raise awareness and campaign for improved services.

Our life changing peer support network helps women and families affected by postpartum psychosis feel understood, supported and less isolated.
