In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer, including our brilliant neighbour and her family who have been so wonderful to us as we've settled into our new life in the South West.

The least I can do is hot-foot it around 26 miles of coastline in a day and I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £500 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for a day. Obviously, there are 365 days in a year so the more we all raise, the more we can contribute to provide life-enhancing care where it's needed most. This will provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Ever the optimist, I'm hopeful of beating the pledge amount...

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
