Story
Hi everyone!
In early September I’m taking on an exciting challenge – running The Great North Run; something that's been on my bucket list for ages! In doing so I now also have an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a cause that’s close to my heart.
The charity I’m fundraising for is the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS). This amazing charity provides a life-saving helicopter emergency service, delivering rapid medical care to people in critical need across the North of England and especially in areas close to my heart; the Isle of Man and Lake District. Every day, they save lives, and their work is truly extraordinary.
Since the GNAAS has been serving the Isle of Man it has dealt with over 60 incidents including RTCs, cardiac arrests and falls. The extra costs associated with covering the Isle of Man have been well documented so I'm trying to help!
So, I need your support please! Whether it’s a donation, a share, or a simple word of encouragement, every little bit helps. Your contribution can make a real difference in someone’s life, and together, we can ensure GNAAS continues to provide its vital services to those who need it the most.
As part of my training I will be running the fearsome Isle of Man No Rest for the Wicked; 6 runs in 6 days bookended by parkruns on each Saturday, so really 8 in 8! I know I should know better!
Thank you so much for your support!
