Story
At some time in life almost all of us become aware, via friends and loved ones, of just how important hospices are. I had direct experience of this when my mum, Sylvia Moore, came under the amazing care of Exeter Hospiscare last December, after a very difficult and painful year. They not only enabled her to die without pain, and with dignity, but they looked after us too. They enabled us to cope. When I found out that over 80% of Hospiscare’s required financial resources come from people fundraising I knew I had to help. Mum was always out and about on her bike in her active life, until that last year, so a challenging bike journey from the UK mainland’s most southerly to the most northerly hospice is fitting. I'll be unsupported; just me, my bike and a saddlebag. I hope you will sponsor me. You can see my route if you click on 'Read Story' below.
