I'm running (alright, mostly plodding) the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for BookTrust. Every year they help thousands of the UK's most disadvantaged children discover the joy of reading. They do this through getting books into schools and families, developing reading groups, and helping young families establish good reading habits. All this sets up children (and parents) for far greater things in life. And hey, reading's just good fun!
