From 30 May 2026, I will be undertaking a solo, unsupported cycling challenge from Land's End to John o' Groats, aiming to complete this 1000 mile journey before my 60th birthday on 16 June. Reaching 60 may be a milestone in life, but it has encouraged me to undertake this late mid-life challenge. While this ride is for my own fulfilment, I warmly invite you to join me in supporting COPS by donating what you can to their valuable work in supporting the families of British Police Officers killed in the line of duty.. Your generosity will help COPS continue their essential work assisting families affected by such profound loss.

Having spent nearly all my working life working in the Criminal Justice System, both defending and now prosecuting, I have seen the brave work done by our police officers . It is the case that when danger happens most people run away, but police officers run towards it.

Sadly some officers end up making the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of keeping the rest of us safe. Their families suddenly lose a loved on, be it partner, parent, child or sibling. This is a profound loss and COPS are there to help rebuild shattered lives.

I have over many years had the pleasure to fund raise for COPS and to see the fantastic work they do.
