In July, I’m taking on the Outlaw Triathlon—a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run to finish. It’s going to hurt… a lot.

I’m doing it for Herts Inclusive Theatre. This small charity means a lot to me from my time as a volunteer at its Saturday drama clubs for childen and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. I wanted to help give the same fulfilment and joy that I've got out of doing theatre, to children who'd otherwise miss out. HIT parents I met spoke about their children feeling isolated or excluded elsewhere, and the relief of finding HIT, where they’re accepted, make friends, build confidence, and simply have fun.

Volunteering there was one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. This challenge is my way of giving back. Please give generously to help more children with SEND discover a place where they truly belong. Thank you.
