Story
In January 2021 Isabel was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder affecting around 1 in 20,000 people. Characteristic features include delayed development, severe learning difficulties, little or no speech and issues with movement and balance. Although she is expected to have a normal life expectancy, she will need additional support throughout her life.
This year I am supporting The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics UK (FAST UK), an organisation of families and professionals dedicated to finding a cure for Angelman Syndrome and related disorders through the funding of an aggressive research agenda, education and advocacy. The Foundation is committed to raising awareness as well as assisting individuals to realise their full potential and quality of life. We are confident that our goals are within reach and together, with your help, we will change lives.
