Story
On the 15th September 2020 my partner and I lost our baby daughter Molly at 21 weeks of pregnancy. Being supported by a charity like Philip's Footprints, who have first hand awareness of such a sad and traumatic experience, helped us cope with the grief and manage all of the challenging formalities that follow a tragic event like this.
Whilst no parent should experience any kind of loss of a child and a great many people will thankfully never need to know about the function of this charity, we would like to support and raise awareness for its work, which is critical in helping parents and families try to come to terms with their loss.
Philip's Footprints was formed in 2008 after it's founder, Jo Nash, left Maternity with empty arms and a broken heart. The charity has given over 460 memory boxes to bereaved families.
No family should have to leave Maternity with a memory box instead of their baby, they are investing in safer pregnancies, in professional antenatal training and equipment, and information for pregnant women to reduce the rate of stillbirths, premature births and complications at birth. Improving outcomes for Jersey babies.
Thank you for your support.
