I'm super excited and a more than a little nervous to be running my first ever Marathon! Having spent my childhood going down to London to watch the marathon, I can't believe it will soon be me running that same route.

Having recently joined the Bedford Harriers, I am very proud to be following the footsteps of the amazing Iva Barr, who ran her last London Marathon aged 88, and was always a passionate and enthuastic champion for the joys of being active. I'm pleased to be fundraising for Whizz Kidz - an amazing charity that Iva also supported when running her last few London Marathons.

Whizz Kidz create opportunities for young wheelchair users to get the equipment, skills, and confidence to go further in life. It's unacceptable that young wheelchair users face so many obstacles in their lives. From inaccessible spaces to negative attitudes, it's time to change the status-quo urgently. With your support, we can create a world where every young person can reach their full potential.
