Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2024, I won a competition at Truro College to take part in a 10 day sailing expedition onboard the Helen Mary R, with Morvargh Sailing Trust and 9 other young people from Cornwall. We all worked hard to sail the boat from Fowey to Guernsey, then onto St Malo, Roscoff and finally, back to Cornwall, a total of 395 nm.

It was an amazing experience and it has been the BEST thing I have ever done. My place on the expedition was only made possible through the generosity of people and companies that had donated to Roseland Youth Sailing Trust. https://www.ryst.org.uk/

To give other young people from Cornwall the same amazing opportunity, I will be raising money by climbing the height of Brown Willy (Cornwall's highest point - 420 metres above sea level) by completing between 60 and 84 laps of different climbs at The Tide Climbing Centre on 22 May 2025. Despite being over 6 foot in height, I am not a natural climber and this will be quite a challenge for me.

I appreciate that times are difficult for people, but if you can only afford to donate £1, a young person in Cornwall will definitely benefit from a great, and unique, opportunity.

Thanks, Adam.
