On 05 June 24 our 14 year old daughter Ella was admitted to the Chelsea and Westminster hospital (amazing team they are) and by the 14 June we were given the news all parents dread, that Ella had an incurable disease that would affect her life.

She will need to eat a liquid diet for 6-8 weeks being fed though a tube in her nose straight into her stomach, alongside taking an immune suppressant drug to reduce the inflammation that is being caused in her intestine and colon.

Ella has been amazing throughout and is determined to get better and get back to life as before, with school, friends & family, ice skating and swimming.

A group of us will be climbing Scafell Pike to raise money for the charity to hopefully one day discover a cure and provide support and information for other children currently suffering with Crohn's or other similar IBDs.
