In November last year, I enrolled on a trial at Mind2Muscle in Blackburn. They are a neuro rehab gym for people with various conditions such as Parkinson's, MS, Stroke etc.

They use both physical and cognitive exercise to improve the day-to-day wellbeing of participants.

I was sceptical at first but from the moment I first 'walked' in, I was welcomed and felt at ease.

After the initial 6 week trial, I felt and looked much fitter and considered myself to be 'one of the gang'.

Since the 6 week trial I have continued attending a couple of days a week and, during this time, I was used as a Guinea Pig on what I can only describe as a giant baby bouncer! I was strapped in then lifted up on to a treadmill. The harness encourages your body to stay in the correct posture and also prevents you from falling over. I was then able to walk on the treadmill like a 'normal' person, something I've not done for a long time, amazing!

Anyway, these things cost £13,000 so I thought that I'd try to raise a few quid towards one to help this wonderful charity out
