Hello there!

In recent years I have participated in a few charity cycle events with Team McKeown for Macmillan Cancer Support. In September I am taking on the Geneva to Nice challenge. This promises to be the toughest yet....600 miles, 19 cols and more than 60,000 feet of cycling uphill....over 7 consecutive days! There are 15 of us cycling this challenge hoping to raise £75,000 which will help to make a real difference to Macmillan's work!

I strongly believe that health is wealth and I feel so lucky to be in reasonable health (for a 62 year old fart!) Sadly, millions of people are not so lucky and cancer sufferers face one of the most horrible of illnesses. There are so many worthy charities in the UK but I have known, loved and lost many relatives, friends and acquaintances to cancer and have chosen to support Macmillan for my Cycle Charity Challenge in September 2025.

Thank you for reading my JustGiving page and it would genuinely mean the world to me if you can donate some much needed funds to help Macmillan's work. I am honestly apprehensive about how hard this cycle will be BUT my pain will be temporary (well, I hope so anyway!) in stark contrast to the pain cancer sufferers and their families/friends go through every day!
