Story
Hi I’m Pete and this August I am doing a 10k trail run in the Chilterns on behalf of Alternatives Watford. As you may know, I love running but don't often fundraise. Alternatives is a fantastic local charity that serves anyone in the community who is struggling with pregnancy related challenges. My wife Corinne has recently become a trustee and has seen up close the great work they do.
Alternatives offers free or low-cost counselling to people who may have lost a baby through miscarriage or still birth or be dealing with post-natal depression, or infertility. For those parents facing financial hardship, Alternatives gives new Moses baskets filled with essentials such as nappies, clothes, books and toys. They also run two charity shops selling quality, low-cost essentials such as buggies, cots and nappies. It costs £70 to deliver one baby basket and £25 to run a counselling session.
Anything you can give would go a long way to help parents and others in need get these life changing services.
