Story

Having wanted to for years, I am finally running the London marathon!

To be make it even better I shall be running for a charity that is very meaningful to me.

The Riding for the Disabled Association played a pivotal role in my fiancée's life. Horse riding from a young age provided physical therapy in a fun social environment and ultimately led to her competing in dressage, becoming a Paralympian, and winning 8 gold medals for Great Britain.

In a neat bit of symmetry, 2024 is a Paralympic year and Sophie hopes to represent GB for a 5th time. Additionally the marathon starts at Greenwich Park, the location of her 2012 gold medal winning performances.

The Riding for the Disabled Association's work is delivered by 18,000 volunteers through 500 local groups across the UK. No other charity delivers the work they do - focusing on what each person can do, with the end goal of enriching lives and changing futures.

They need your support to continue the vital work they do. Please do give and donate what you feel you can.

Thank you so much!
