Imagine being told your toddler you thought was healthy, but perhaps slow to progress, in fact had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. Rett syndrome changes lives irrevocably. With your support Rett UK is there from the beginning. #ToKnowHerIsToLoveHer

Story

Our perfect girl has Rett syndrome and just want to help out where I can.

Therefore I am entering the BIKC (British Indoor Go Karting Championship) in order to raise awareness and, maybe some money, for Rett UK.

What is RETT Syndrome:

Rett syndrome is a rare disorder that mostly affects girls and starts showing signs in early childhood. It's caused by changes in a specific gene and leads to serious problems with movement, speaking, and thinking.

Initially, children with Rett syndrome may develop normally but then lose skills they once had, like using their hands and talking. They often have repetitive hand movements, trouble walking, and might have breathing issues or seizures. There's no cure, but treatments can help manage the symptoms and improve the child's quality of life.
