Pete Norton is a Counsellor in Training and has been doing his 100 hours placement for Crossroads operating out of Age UK, Deal (you may have seen him every Tuesday arriving on his bike).

He is very grateful for all the kindness and support that he has received from staff and visitors to Age UK.

For the past 3 years Pete and his friend Andrew have undertaken a cycling challenge called 'Chase the Sun'.

They have 'Chased the Sun' in the South and North of England, Ireland and this year the event will be Chasing the Sun in Italy.

All rides start in the east at sunrise and cyclists cycle west aiming to arrive before the sun sets.

It's about 175 miles in a day and essentially takes a whole day in the saddle to achieve.

For Pete it's both a physical and mental challenge that he does with friends.

He loves the challenge and says when doing it he thinks of how grateful he is to all those friends, family, colleagues and others that he meets that support and inspire him.
