At the age of 70, and 40 years after Mexico ’86, I’m part of Sir Bobby’s Team once again.

This September, I’m running the Great North Run for The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation to raise funds to improve cancer treatments. A cause that’s extremely personal and important to me and my family.

All funds raised are going towards completion of The Sir Bobby Robson Institute, a £30 million cancer trials hub at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne.

It will enable more ground-breaking cancer treatments that will directly benefit around 3.5 million people living in the North East, North Cumbria and North Yorkshire, as well as making a global impact.

Cancer is something we all live with, but together, we can do something about it.
