Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Let's Brake the Chains of Debt & Poverty in the South East.

The CAP South East team take on Cycling Against Poverty - to connect all our centres in the South East through pedal power alone....

We're collectively joining all the spokes of our region - from Chipping Norton in the North, to Folkestone in the East, to the Isle of Wight in the South to Hungerford in the West.

Thousands of people in the United kingdom are struggling with unmanageable debt, which can cause anxiety, depression, and often losing employment, and relationship breakdown perhaps leading to divorce.

But, Christians Against Poverty have helped hundreds of couples and individuals find freedom from debt as well. Christians Against Poverty are widely known for their expertise in managing debt.

I am a befriender, supporting men and couples who are making their way out of debt with Christians Against Poverty. I have witnessed at least 3 men go debt free whilst I have been a befriender.

I will be "Cycling Against Poverty" from Gillingham Baptist Church (Green Street), to Holy Trinity Church Sittingbourne, High Street, to The CAP Centre in Maidstone, then home to Rainham

The distance is approximately 36 miles .

Any amount small or larger , will be help keep Christians Against Poverty running so they can continue to lead people out of debt .

Gillingham Cap Centre, the Medway Centre, has helped 200 people out of debt in it's 11 years of running. That is 20 people a year on average !

And 150 people have come to faith in Jesus Christ in that 11 years.

The website address is below if you want to find out more about CAP ,
