Competing in Rallye Monte Carlo Historique 2024 · 1 February 2024

Founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, Race Against Dementia funds breakthrough research to prevent and cure dementia, harnessing the power of Formula 1 to fast-track a dementia breakthrough.

Story

Dementia is something that most of us will be affected by during our lifetime whether as a sufferer, or a relation or a friend of a sufferer or a professional caring for sufferers.

Race Against Dementia was founded by a globally known motor sport personality, Sir Jackie Stewart, and I felt that using the entry of Paul Mankin and I in the 2024 Rallye Monte Carlo Historique to raise both money for his charity and the profile of the charity was appropriate.

Raising funds for Race Against Dementia is a compelling investment in the pursuit of a world without dementia. The organisation's focus on innovative research, collaboration, and global impact positions it as a key player in the fight against dementia, and contributions to RAD can make a meaningful difference in advancing our understanding and treatment of this devastating condition.

We start the event from Milan on Thursday 1st February as car number 8 and finish in the early hours of the following Wednesday in Monte Carlo and our car, a 1970 Porsche 914/6 will carry significant advertising for the charity and a QR code to enable easy donations. Please be generous.
