In April 2026 I’ll be running the Manchester Marathon to raise £500 for the British Heart Foundation, in memory of my dad, who sadly passed away in July 2025 from heart and kidney failure.

Dad’s journey with heart disease began during Covid, when he suffered a heart attack and needed a quadruple bypass. Thanks to the incredible care he received at Broadgreen Hospital, we were able to share another four precious years with him. Sadly, earlier this year, he lost his battle.

I want to honour his memory by taking on this challenge and raising funds to support the British Heart Foundation’s vital research, so that other families can have more time with their loved ones too.
