At 3.30pm on 21st August 2024, my mum passed away peacefully. In the final years of her life she lived with dementia. Although she often seemed content in her own happy bubble, as a family we came to understand how true it is when people say you lose your loved ones twice.

The care she received throughout those years was exceptional, and I will always be grateful to everyone who supported her. It is the compassion and dedication of specialists that can make such a profound difference to families. That is why I have chosen to raise money for Forget Me Not, in the hope that whatever I raise will help other families facing similar challenges.
