Cycling 112 miles and 10,600 feet of "up" for Young People’s Mental Health
The William Templeton Foundation for Young People’s Mental Health (YPMH) is a charitable foundation working to improve the lives of young people by facilitating innovative approaches to resolve mental health conditions, especially depression and anxiety.
YPMH was established in 2019 in memory of Will Templeton, by his parents Anne and Peter, and his brother John. The family’s aspiration is to accelerate the translation of research into innovations that are applied at scale to prevent, detect, diagnose, manage and treat mental ill health in young people.

Peter will be taking on the Fred Whitton Challenge, cycling 112 miles around the Lake District in support of YPMH. The ride will tackle climbs including Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose, and Blea Tarn passes. With gradients as steep as 30% at the 92-mile mark, it is possibly the most challenging one-day ride in the UK.
Please support YPMH's work to change the direction of young people's mental health.
