Arctic Survival Challenge · 23 January 2025

We make things better to help staff, patients & their families

Story

On 23rd February, I’m taking part in an 8 day Arctic Survival Challenge to raise much-needed money for the Oncology department of University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS trust.

As a team, we'll spend 8 days in the wilderness 150 km south of the Arctic Circle, where temperatures can get as low as -30 degrees. Brrr!!!

Led by a special forces survival expert, our experience will challenge our ability to adapt to such a harsh environment and will test our survival instincts.

We'll learn the life-saving skills of ice fishing, fire lighting, shelter and snow hole building, all whilst raising funds to make things better for patients and their families at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

This is the charity's website for info: https://www.uhcwcharity.org/

I appreciate post Christmas is always a difficult time for people financially, but if you could spare a few £££s to help me raise money, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you and happy new year!

Pete
