Story
Education for Maasai Girls in Kajiado, a rural part of Kenya, is their only route away from poverty and exploitation. It is their path to self-discovery, independence, and personal freedom. Education is truly life-transforming.
Over the next four years, as I venture towards and into my 80s, I want to ensure that the girls and young women supported by the JOSEPH THOMSON MAASAI TRUST through secondary and higher education achieve their goals, their dreams, and graduate from University.

To make this happen, I am undertaking a virtual cycling venture all the way to Kajiado in Kenya. The actual cycling of at least 2,000 km each year will take place here in Scotland. I need your help to realize my goal of cycling this distance while raising the funds necessary to keep these girls on their educational journeys.
I am aiming to raise £6,000 GBP for this cause. If I can do it at my advanced age, then so can you. Please join me in supporting this vital mission by contributing to Pete's (virtual) Cycle to Kenya event. Together, we can change lives through education.
