It is with a huge amount of sadness that we recently shared the news that Peter died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday the 11th July.

We appreciate all the love and support, particularly over the last few years of his illness and going forwards; we would ask for no flowers please, and would instead ask that you donate to Tynedale Hospice at Home through this page or at the funeral itself.

We received incredible support from the team at Tynedale in the last few weeks and months of his life, including having a registered nurse stay with us to help support on one of the nights before his passing.

We would love it if more individuals and families could receive support from the charity as a result of the money donated here.

To no-one’s surprise, he had very clear plans for his funeral, which will be held at Hexham Abbey. We will update this page with details regarding the timing of this. He obviously planned it carefully in advance, so the music is all of his own choosing.
