Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Peter will always remember his smile.
Peter was diagnosed with cancer in July 2024, an illness he fought so courageously, demonstrating true inner steel and bravery, despite the devastating prognosis and life expectancy that he faced.
Peter passed away on 11 October 2024, at 38 years old, leaving a huge void that will never be replaced
As family and friends of Peter we were, and always will be, so proud of him and he continues to inspire us every day.
Since Peter’s passing, many people have mentioned his smile, his kindness, his cheeky demeanour and his humour as their lasting memory of Peter.
Peter developed a special bond with the staff at Michael Sobell House, where he spent his final weeks. We witnessed first hand, the care and love the team showed Peter, and the respect and gratitude he showed in return, every day of his care.
We feel compelled to offer our sincere thanks through four primary fund raising events which will take place throughout the course of 2025.
1. Wexford 10km / Half Marathon - 13th April 2025. Everyone is welcome to participate (running or walking) or join us to support this event in person.
2. Sky Dive - 22nd June 2025
3. Cycle - Northwood to Wexford (304 miles / 489 km)- 17th August 2025
4. Dinner Dance, Clayton Chiswick Hotel - 27th September 2025
Details around each event will be released progressively throughout the coming year, including tickets to the Dinner Dance, which will be advertised from April 2025, and we hope will be an opportunity to bring many of us together to celebrate Peter’s life and reflect on the fundraising events of 2025.
Your support towards Michael Sobell House (supported by Harlington Hospice) would mean so much to us all.
Thank you
Friends and Family of Peter x
At Michael Sobell House, supported by Harlington Hospice, we’re here to support those in our community living with serious or terminal illness, and their family and friends.
While news of a serious or terminal illness can be overwhelming, we believe everyone who comes to us should be helped to live each of their days in their own way, to the fullest.
We’re here for our community – the London Borough of Hillingdon and surrounding areas – through turbulent times.
