On Monday 15th April our charity celebrates 183 years of providing free and confidential support to the pharmacy profession!

To acknowledge this milestone, the team here at Pharmacist Support have set ourselves the challenge of collectively clocking up 26.2 wellbeing miles. Together we will run, walk and cycle our target distance. Back in 2020, following some market research and the establishment of a new 5 year strategy our charity refreshed our mission - to Champion the wellbeing of our pharmacy family. Since then we've been on a journey as an organisation to really engage with this. As wellbeing is at the centre of all that we do, we understand investing in staff wellbeing and creating the right organisational culture is vital not only for our own success but also for the wellbeing of the pharmacy family we serve. After all, people are at heart of what we do, so why wouldn’t we support and invest in them!

We are lucky to have wellbeing experts in the charity who have supported this work and have run wellbeing sessions with our charity team, invested in spending time together and in supporting each other to implement, what are often very simple and non costly wellbeing practices into daily routines. Whilst we're not all marathon runners, we recognise that time out in nature doing some sort of exercise - be that a dog walk, a lunchtime or pre/post work wander or bike ride - is good for our wellbeing.

By tackling this target together, we not only make it more achievable - we make it more fun!

So for the duration of our birthday week - ending on London Marathon Day we shall be clocking up our wellbeing miles. Please do cheer us on and support us if you can!
