Thanks for taking the time to visit.
Exactly a month from now I'm undertaking the biggest cycling fundraising challenge I've ever done - taking on Doddie's Triple Crown, an 800-mile effort leaving from Melrose on Tuesday 10th March arriving in Dublin on the evening of Friday 13th before Scotland take on Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.
Doddie's Triple Crown is the 2026 edition of an epic annual cycling challenge to raise funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation - and help the fight to tackle Motor Neurone Disease.
I'm getting back into riding the bike after several years off it, so I'm going in at the deep end and doing approximatley 100 miles per day for four days as part of a relay team.
We kick off with a wee 40 mile trundle from Murrayfield Stadium on March 9 before we get going in earnest:
Day 1: Melrose to Leeds
Day 2: Leeds to Gloucester
Day 3: Gloucester to Pembroke
Day 4: Rosslare to Dublin. And a big pint of Guinness!
Making up the team are chums Chris Clark, Ian Ord and Matt Anstead, supported by Alice Hutcheon as driver and skipper. Our team page is also online - http://www.justgiving.com/team/team-vvvrc-doddie-triple-crown-challenge?invite=true
It's not really about the bike ride tbh, it's about raising money to find a cure for MND. Your support will be hugely appreciated!
