Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Rob Cooper and Phil King will be running the 2024 London Marathon on the 21st April to raise funds for the mental health charity Mind.

Our aim is also to raise awareness around the high numbers of young people sadly taking their own lives.

Tragically, Phil lost his son Ben last year to suicide, this happened not long after Ben lost one of his dear friends, Louie. These weren't the first suicide's that had affected Phil's life, his friend Darren lost his son Tom 11 years ago. Phil had always wanted to run London in Tom's memory. However, following recent events, both Rob and Phil have decided to run in memory of all three.

It seems unthinkable that so few degrees of separation connect these young men.

The money we raise will help Mind to offer desperately needed expert help and advice to anyone suffering with mental health problems.

We will periodically update our story to keep everyone informed of how we progress.

Thanks again

Rob and Phil.
