Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

This will be my first London Marathon and I am delighted to be raising funds for Brain Tumour Research.

I have personal knowledge of a number of people, including former colleagues in the police service who have and are battling the effects of a brain tumour. More locally a good friend, fellow member of my Lions Club, and local councillor, Kevin Towill has recently returned home having spent 11 months in hospital and care provision. He's inspired me with the way he has dealt with a long and, still to be completed recovery, with determination while displaying an amazing sense of humour. Good to have you home Kevin.

Therefore, I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
