Wirral Hospice St John's provides specialist palliative care for the Wirral. It costs up to £7m a year to run the Hospice, which is at no charge to our patients. This is all thanks to the loyal support and commitment of our supporters who do so much to help raise funds for our charity's work.

Story

At the beginning of this year, my hero and best friend, my Dad, Michael Gray, was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer. Since then he has received such compassionate care by Wirral Hospice St John’s, who provide specialist care and support for people living with life-limiting conditions. Their care and support have made a real difference to my Dad and to our family during this time.

To show my gratitude of their support, I will be running the Everton 10k on Saturday 11th October. Having spent the summer recovering in physio and rehab after a 3B distal hamstring tear, I’m grateful to be back running and taking on this challenge while supporting my Dad through his illness. With over 40 seasons spent together at Goodison Park as lifelong Everton supporters, the Everton 10k feels like the most fitting way to celebrate our bond and raise vital funds for the hospice.

If you would like to support this cause, I would be so grateful if you could consider donating. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness, generosity, and support, it means more to me and my family than I can put into words.

Wirral Hospice St John's relies on donations and fundraising activities to help the charity keep caring for patients and their loved ones at a time of most need. Thank you for your kind support.
