Thanks for donating in memory of our dearest Phil.

As you know my brother Phil was like no-one else. He brought such joy into the lives of us all. He so loved his life and the people he got to spend it with. He inspired us, not only with his creativity and talent, but with his genuine love and kindness towards everyone. He really wanted to get to know each of us and to spend time with us. It was just fabulous fun to be with him. He was an inspiring colleague, a beloved friend and treasured family member. He was above all a wonderful Dad and Uncle.

Phil lived with Bipolar all his adult life. Biopolar is a very serious mental illness with a genetic component. It is characterised by extreme mood swings and variations in energy levels. Phil did not want his life to be dimmed and eroded by his illness and constantly worked to try to ensure it was not so.

Devastatingly for us all, there is only way that Phil was not unique. Bipolar continues to be under researched and little understood. Our beloved Phil was one of the majority of people with Bipolar in the UK who currently do not get the help and treatment they need.
