London Marathon 2026 - Phil Lloyd

Phil Lloyd is raising money for Disability Sports Coach

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We use the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people. Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Through our inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert-led training, we break down barriers to sport for 5,000 disabled people each year.

Story

As someone that's always believed in the power of sport, I am honoured to be a Trustee at the charity Disability Sports Coach.

Disability Sports Coach is a charity which focuses on how the power of sport can enhance the lives of disabled people. They aim to breakdown the barriers to sport for disabled people thorough their inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert led training. Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non disabled people and our aim at the charty is to change that.

Being part of this brilliant charity, seeing the work they do making a difference has inspired me (and my creaky knees) to take up the challenge of the London Marathon 2026 to raise funds for such a worthy cause that's close to my heart.

How your gift will help

* £10 helps send out home activity packs with instructions for sports activities and games to do at home - so the whole family can play together and build bonds.

* £15 buys an Audible Visually Impaired Football for use in our club sessions, so people with hearing impairments can join football sessions with friends.

* £50 pays for a specially-trained inclusive sports coach to deliver fun activity sessions that are adapted for all in the community.
