Story
This January, I will be taking on Britain's Most Brutal endurance challenge: the Montane Spine Race. Stretching 268 miles along the rugged, mountainous Pennine Way, this ultramarathon is a true test of physical and mental resilience. As I tackle every mile and climb each windswept peak, I’ll be driven by a deeply personal reason.
Just two months ago, my wife, Sarah, received a life-saving lung transplant at Royal Papworth Hospital. The care, expertise, and compassion shown by the entire team were nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to them, Sarah has been given a second chance at life, and our family has hope for the future.
I am running the Spine Race to raise vital funds for the Royal Papworth Hospital Charity. Their work goes far beyond clinical care—they support pioneering research, patient support programmes, and the development of cutting-edge treatments that change lives every day. Every donation, big or small, will help them continue to provide world-class care for people like Sarah and countless others in need.
Please join me in supporting this incredible cause. Your generosity will make a real difference for patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. Help me give back to the place that gave us hope.
Thank you so much for your support!
Royal Papworth Charity exists to support the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital. With increasing pressures on the NHS, the Charity plays a vital role in ensuring that the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care by investing in staff development, improving the Hospital environment for our patients and supporting research into new ways of treating heart and lung disease. Our patients, their families and the staff are at the heart of everything we do, this is all made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
