Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to at least £45 million a year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

I am taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in memory of my brother, John.

John died from a brain tumour in November 2021. He left behind his wife, Debra, his daughter, Faye, and his son, Joseph.

To those who knew him, John was a local hero and an all round good egg. He was loved enormously and is missed every single day.

Before he died, I promised John that I would raise money for charity. Taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge is one way of keeping that promise and doing something positive in his memory.

Brain tumours can have a devastating impact on individuals and families, and I want to do whatever I can to help support research that may improve outcomes for people facing the same diagnosis in the future.

Every step up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) will be taken with John very much in my thoughts.

Thank you for supporting me and for helping to keep John’s memory alive through something that can make a difference to others.

John, this one is for you.
