Story
The Arctic 6633 Northern Lights Ultra is not just a race; it is a journey into the heart of one of the most remote and breathtaking regions on Earth. Over five days, I will traverse 290km along the frozen Peel River in Canada’s Northwest Territories, pulling my kit and equipment on a sledge. Each day, I will face the vast Arctic wilderness, where temperatures can plunge as low as -44°C.
As night falls, I will camp under a sky alive with dancing Northern Lights, pushing north toward Aklavik and Inuvik while skirting the majestic Richardson Mountains. This challenge is not only a test of endurance and self-reliance but also an opportunity to reflect on the resilience of those who have faced their own battles.
I am raising funds for 'Walking With The Wounded', an organization dedicated to supporting veterans who have been wounded in service to our country. Their work is vital in helping these brave individuals reintegrate into society and find purpose after their sacrifices.
I invite you to join me on this journey by supporting my fundraising goal of £2,000. Your contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those who have given so much for us. Together, we can help them walk forward with dignity and hope.
