Story
A very special friend of mine has convinced me to run the Manchester Half Marathon next month. Amazingly, I now fit in to the Brain Tumour Research running vest that Ben wore when he ran in the Brighton Marathon three years ago so it only seems right that I should use this to raise a bit more money to tackle and keep raising awareness of this terrible disease that took Linda.
I have enjoyed getting back out on the road running - a change from riding my bike - and am actually almost looking forward to the challenge.
Please, if you can, just pledge a tenner - every bit of funding gets the researchers closer to finding a cure.
One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
