Philip's fundraiser for Awyr Las Gogledd Cymru - Blue Sky North Wales

Philip Gracie is raising money for Awyr Las Gogledd Cymru - Blue Sky North Wales
Wrexham Maelor's Critical Care Team are raising £50,000 to create a new patient sensory garden to provide some relief from the clinical environments.

Story

Awyr Las is the North Wales NHS Charity and supports staff, patients and their families across the whole of North Wales and beyond.

Over the last 3 years I have planted and sold sunflowers to raise funds for different charities. This year I will be selling them to raise funds for the Critical Care Sensory Garden at Wrexham Maelor hospital.

My Mum was suddenly taken ill last June and spent 17 weeks in hospital, the first 6 weeks were on the Critical Care Ward. Thankfully, after excellent care and support from the staff at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, my Mum was discharged in October and continues to make a great recovery. The work that goes on there is exceptional, demanding and constant. When patients are in Critical Care it can feel very isolating and it’s important to take patients outside. Funds are currently being raised to build a Critical Care Patient sensory garden, the target is £50,000.00, so far,£38,295 has been raised.

If anyone would like to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated. And the sunflowers will be ready for purchase soon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
