Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started supporting Manchester United when I was 5 years old. When I was growing up and into my late 20s, Liverpool won what seemed like everything every year ..... and I DID NOT LIKE THEM (language moderated here!!). Then Fergie turned up and Liverpool were knocked off their perch AND I LOVED IT! Now unfortunately the tables have been turned and Liverpool are back on their perch.
Despite being a massive United fan - I have had a season ticket for 20 years and in my retirement travel all round Europe to watch United (although sadly not this season) - in order to raise money for Step, I am going to wear a Liverpool shirt for the day on Sunday 19 October. This is not just any day as in the afternoon Liverpool are playing United at Anfield. My friends at church in the morning will all think I've gone completely bonkers which will give me the perfect opportunity to ask them to donate significant sums to Step, a charity that I am passionate about and for which I act as a trustee.
Step needs additional funding to ensure it can continue the great work it does in secondary schools in Harpenden and St Albans so any amount, however small, will help.
Thanks so much for your support.
Update: Phase 1 complete - photo with some of my Liverpool supporting friends from church this morning.
Phase 2 complete - watched the match wearing the Liverpool shirt ..... and will wear it for all future matches !!
