Co-op and Philip Morris Ltd take on Windermere!

On the 4th May, myself and Ajay (from Philip Morris Ltd) and Hannah and Ed (from the Co-op) will be swapping our desks for a traditional wooden rowing boat to row 10 miles across Lake Windermere to raise money to support the GroceryAid charity.

This will be a gruelling challenge (especially for Ajay who thinks a walk to the pub is exercise enough) but will be well worth it to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

GroceryAid is a benevolent society for people from all over the United Kingdom who have worked, or are working in the grocery industry, and who find they need extra support to get by. From April to December 2022 GroceryAid have seen a 61% increase in incidences of support, 49% increase to the ‘get help’ website link and a 27% increase in applications for financial grants. Given the current climate, this is expected to continue to rise throughout 2023.
