Philip's fundraiser for Stroke Association

Relay run · 14 September 2024
Our Paramedic colleague and friend at ScotSTAR had a stroke recently, he has helped countless people over the years both in his time working on an Ambulance, and latterly as part of the air wing in Glasgow.
We want to show our support to him and help some of the people who have helped him and his family.
A small group of keen (and less keen) runners are going to run from Campbeltown to Glasgow airport, a distance of around 240km, in a continuous relay.
The route is mostly off road with many large hills to climb, and being a continuous relay will involve an element of sleep deprivation to make sure we don't enjoy the run.
Please dig deep and sponsor us for this excellent cause.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
