Story

13 members of the McArthurGlen leadership team will be embarking on the tough National Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Maggie's, cancer support charity.

Team members: Hayden Tucker, Will Minnett, Philip Walker, Perter Heritage, Nick Brady, Philip Gardner, Nisha Masson, Sharon Glyn-Jones, Kenny Murray, Paul Tyler, Paul Sutton, George Norris and Matthew Jamieson.

The National Three Peak Challenge:

Is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. The total distance walked is estimated at 42km with a total ascent of 9,800ft.

Maggie’s offers free support to anyone with cancer and their families who walk through their doors. Their centres are located alongside NHS hospitals and they also provide online support.

The founder of Maggie's, Maggie Keswick Jencks used her own experience of having cancer to create a new type of cancer care. The first Maggie's opened in Edinburgh in 1996, and they now have a network of centres across the UK and some abroad.
