Story
I am equally thrilled and terrified to be running the 2026 London Marathon for Team Anthony Nolan - saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
Please please anyone reading this make sure you tell everyone you know aged 16-30 to sign up now to the register!
I first came across this amazing charity through one of my best friends. A couple of years ago her son Billy was diagnosed with CTCL and has fought the most incredible battle and thanks to a stem cell transplant is now living his best life. He truly is an inspiration to us all and if you would like to follow him or read more https://www.instagram.com/billy_updates_his_mates/#
I applied last year for an AN marathon place and was somewhat relieved to hear I hadn't got it as I honestly haven't run properly since my school days. A month later I rather ironically was diagnosed myself with a type of blood cancer - I was quite shocked at first and haven't told many people as I feel great at the moment. I thought this was the perfect opportunity then to try again to raise funds for AN and the marathon had always been on my bucket list - it was a sign and guess what, I got a place!
So here goes, the serious training will begin soon. I started this summer literally from the beginning - Couch to 5K in June and am now a regular on the Runna and Strava apps.
Please support in any way you can, with grateful thanks.
